Hypocritical and Self-Righteous Pharisees

matt 11-28-30My friend Mark from Proclaim His Word Ministries (find him here on youtube), did another good documentary on those who consistently accuse others of being false converts.  I suggest listening once, then using it as a study.  Stop and look up the Bible verses. God bless your time in His Word.

For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.  For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.  Romans 10:3-4

But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away. Isaiah 64:6

  • Thanks Holly and thanks Mark for your wonderful you tube on the self righteous pharisees. I used to be one of them, under the teaching of lordship salvation. I am still very scarred from LS, i grapple with it on a daily basis that all you have to do is just believe and put your trust in the finished work of Christ.

My friend and I decided to spend some of today ringing Pentecostal pastors to give them this good news of the gospel of grace. They all claim that salvation can be lost if we don’t continue in the faith, they believe we are teaching the heresy of once saved always saved. One pastor thought we were Calvinists because we believe in once saved always saved. They don’t realize there is a 3rd position, may the lord open their eyes to the heresy they are under. It grieves me deeply that we don’t divide the word of god in the same way.

Thanks Holly for all your input and updates on Jacks Health, sorry to see him gone, may we continue on for him. We pray that God will direct others to these sites so they can hear the true biblical gospel.

    God Bless.

    • Mary, you never know who might hear, I always wonder what they do with these verses.

25 Jesus said to her, “I AM the RESURRECTION and the LIFE. He who BELIEVES IN ME, though he may die, yet shall he live.
26 And whoever lives and BELIEVES IN ME shall NEVER DIE. Do you BELIEVE this?”
27 She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I BELIEVE that You are the Christ, the SON OF GOD, who is to come into the world.” John 11

15 That whosoever believeth in him should NOT PERISH, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should NOT PERISH, but have everlasting life. John 3:15-16

28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall NEVER PERISH, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. John 10:28-29

They get away with no one plucking them out of His hand by saying the person can choose to walk away or jump out, but Jesus says they shall NEVER PERISH, they shall NOT DIE, so why is that so hard for them to hear? The scariest part is that if they look at John 11, have they truly believed the testimony of God (which includes ETERNAL LIFE)? If they do not believe the life cannot be forfeited about God’s will for us to never perish, they have not understood the gospel, and have made God a liar (1 John 5:13)

  • What a truly excellent video. Thank you for sharing.

    Isaiah 53:6
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

  • Isaiah 53:6 really sums it up doesn’t it.

    The iniquity of us all.

Every single last one of us.

    If only all would believe.

    How tragic.

Amen. Mark does a wonderful job on his videos. I’m a follower of his. It’s so hard to find those who preach a true gospel. When you find someone who does you have to hold tight. Such as a deceived world we live in. Thanks, Holly. Much love, sister. <3

    • Mark is quick to correct any mistake or if he has misspoken, I appreciate that very much in a brother or sister in Christ. Love in Him!
